Clothing & Household Donations

People from all over our region help to support us by donating their used clothing and household goods.

• Clothing (men, women, children, all types and sizes)

• All bedding items (no mattresses please)
• Draperies and curtains

• Radios and small appliances (no televisions please)

Four Ways to Help

Anything that you donate will be resold at one of the local Savers stores, and the proceeds will help our program. The 55 year old Savers store is a private for-profit company that benefits more than 115 non-profit organizations by purchasing and reselling items.

1)  Watch your mailbox for our bright green postcard. It will specify the day that our truck will be in your neighborhood.

Call 1.877.399-2570, or schedule a pickup online for the day(s) specified.

Have your items by the curb by 7:00am with the postcard attached and our driver will pick them up before dusk. All donations will be delivered to a Connecticut Savers location and the proceeds will benefit our programs.

2)  If you have a great many items or are donating furniture which would require 2 people, call us and we will arrange a special pickup for you.  Please call The Big Brothers Big Sisters of SWCT Foundation toll-free – 1.877.399-2570.

3) Bring your goods to one of our Attended Donation Stations at:

5)  Start a clothing drive!

It’s a great way for folks to clean their closets while supporting a great organization.

We will bring a truck to your our business, school, church or synagogue for a day, a week or longer. We also can provide barrels to remain for an agreed upon period of time.
